Ugh...

On a scale of 1-10 my motivation to work out tonight was a -5. I ran a bunch of errands and got home late. I was going to crawl into my cozy bed, but Mr. Awesome talked me into hopping on the treadmill. Just for 30 minutes. But now I'm here, so might as well do my 60.

This is a daily struggle. Those who say it isn't are lying. Big, fat liars.

Treadmill...

I got my butt on the treadmill tonight, even though I really didn't want to. I did 60 minutes, and then did my Bun and Thigh Sculpting Windsor Pilates video. I'm all showered and ready for bed, and I feel amazing! So happy I decided to work out.

Exactly ONE MONTH until Vegas with the girls! If that's not motivation, I don't know what is.

Tacos! Tacos! Tacos!

After a week of eating almost nothing, I'm so happy to have my chicken tacos back! They are so simple, and super clean. They were a huge treat, and I'm excited that is part of my normal diet.

Yay! Tacos are bomb.com.

Cleanse: Fail

So after a whole week of my cleanse, I only lost 1 pound. One measly pound! I suppose it's better than nothing...or even worse; gaining a pound!

Lesson learned. I'll just stick to the good old treadmill. It's never failed me.

Almost Done...

Yesterday was banana day on the cleanse. Bananas and skim milk all day. Isn't that an odd combination? I thought so too. I went to the Britney Spears concert and all I thought about was chicken fingers and garlic fries. Yum.

Sadly, I didn't get to eat any of that deliciousness. I did, however, smuggle in a Banana. Sneaky, sneaky.

Today was steak and veggie day. The protein has been a nice change of pace. It kept me full too, so it made today pretty doable. Tomorrow is the same thing, so shouldn't be too bad.

Why did I decide to do this again?!?!

Baked potato or Cheesecake?

So I'm on Day 2 of the cleanse, and let's just say I'm kind of miserable. Today is vegetable day, and I get to have a baked potato! With butter!! This got me through the day.

I tried to hold out as long as possible to enjoy this special treat, and it was worth every single bite. With only eating fruit and veggies (and cabbage soup, ick) the last 2 days, the baked potato seriously tasted like cheesecake. Soooooo good.

Tomorrow is fruits and veggies, but no potato. *sad face* Although I will miss the potato, I'm excited to eat strawberries and cantaloupe for breakfast. I have a feeling I will be in bed early tonight...

Cleanse Time!

I'm doing a 7 Day cleanse. It's fruit, veggies, meat and lots of water. Today was all fruit. Not too bad actually. Not gonna lie, I'm pretty hungry though. Tomorrow is all veggies.

With A Vegas trip and 10-year reunion coming up, a jump start is pretty necessary!!!!

I still did it...

I only did 45 minutes on the treadmill today. It was painful this time. Maybe it was from the Patron shots last night. Not a great decision.

Also, we went to Spaghetti Factory today and thought I blew it. I calculated the calories and I wasn't too far off. Still under my goal for the day. Holler!

Hooray!!!!

I lost 3 pounds! I lost 3 pounds!!!!

I did 60 minutes on the treadmill! Right after I did Bun and Thigh sculpting Pilates video. Boom.

It was easier to work out today. I'm loving MyFitnessPal app. It's really helping me keep track of my calories and workouts.

Another day, another workout.

Working Out

Last night I really did not want to work out. I was watching tv with Mr. Awesome and suuuuper comfy on the couch. I needed some encouragement, and luckily, I have the best friends ever. I got my booty on the treadmill and worked it out. For an hour!!!

The Club/Dance Station on Pandora helps me get through it. Super high energy and motivating.

Changing my life and lifestyle is a daily struggle. I don't think it will ever be easy. Maybe easier, but definitely not easy. Nothing worth getting ever is.

Insanity????



Literally, I'm insane. I started the program, Insanity. It's an intense cardio workout that I was hoping would put my butt into shape. It's been a whole MONTH and I haven't lost a pound. On top of that, I've been dieting for TWO whole months, and nothing.

I'm discouraged to say the least. I did some research, and talked to a few people. According to my trainer/nutritionist my body is in starvation mode. I'm eating 1600 calories a day, and I should be eating about 2200. Awesome.

I decided to make a change. My eating is on par (minus the Sprinkles cupcake this weekend) so I'm confident in that. I have a heart rate monitor, so I'm hopping on the treadmill for 60 minutes a day, plus doing a leg sculpting Pilates DVD. I keep my heart rate at about 137 (optimal for my fat burning) not at 180 which it was on Insanity.

I'm hoping these changes will help me and my body shed weight. And fast. I have a vegas trip planned with my girls in a month, and I want to feel good about myself.
